Why Integrated Treatment Is Most Effective in Dual-Diagnosis Treatment.
The following list contains additional examples of disorders, but is not limited to the areas of treatment provided at Bridge to Integrated Living:
Treating co-occurring conditions together works better than treating them one at a time. A patient with anxiety and alcohol use, for example, gets stronger results when both are addressed simultaneously rather than detoxing first and treating the anxiety later. That's the integrated approach, and it's how we bridge every part of a patient's care.
Alcohol Use Disorders
Outpatient treatment suitable for individuals that do not require inpatient detoxification for stabilization. Treatment may be suitable to involve FDA approved medications and non-FDA approved medications in reducing cravings to drink alcohol.
Pathological Gambling
Some medications have proven effective in the treatment of pathological gambling, particularly when combined with therapy and supportive behavioral interventions. Treatment may also address co-occurring or subsequent mental health conditions that contribute to compulsive gambling behaviors. Gambling Disorder
Hallucinogens
Patients using hallucinogenic substances including Ecstasy, Nitrous Oxide, PCP, and DMT, among other drugs, may be assessed and treated based on their symptoms, substance use history, and mental health needs. Treatment may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, supportive therapy, and ongoing monitoring. Hallucinogen Use Disorder
Compulsive Overeating
A condition involving recurring episodes of excessive eating and loss of control around food. Treatment may include behavioral therapy, nutritional support, and medications after assessment. Recent studies have shown certain medications may help reduce binge eating behaviors and improve impulse control. Binge Eating Disorder
Stimulant Use Disorders
A pattern of misuse or dependency involving stimulant substances that affect the central nervous system and increase energy, alertness, focus, and activity levels within the body. This may include substances such as cocaine, prescription psychostimulants including Adderall and
Vyvanse, as well as methamphetamines.
Opioid Use Disorders
Treatment may include medication-assisted therapy using Suboxone, an opioid partial agonist that can support recovery and reduce opioid dependence. Care may also include treatment induction, routine drug screening, and referrals for therapy. Initial treatment often involves bi-weekly visits to monitor progress, support stabilization, and encourage continued sobriety. Opioid Use Disorder

I have been seeing Dr. Carter for a few months now and I must say he's a wonderful doctor. He takes the time to talk to me not only about my prescriptions but about my life and the things that I can do that don't include medicine that will make my life more enjoyable and more manageable.
